This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules and standards that govern how buyers, vendors, and all other users may use the Connexigh platform (connexigh.com). By accessing or using Connexigh, you agree to comply with this policy in full. This AUP forms part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund & Returns Policy.

1. Scope & Application
This policy applies to all users of the Connexigh platform, including registered buyers, registered vendors, guest visitors, and any third party accessing the platform through an API or integration. It applies to all activities conducted on or through Connexigh, including browsing, purchasing, listing products, communicating with other users, uploading content, and using any platform feature.
By using Connexigh in any capacity, you agree to be bound by this policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the platform.
2. General Conduct
All users of Connexigh are expected to conduct themselves honestly, respectfully, and lawfully at all times. The following general rules apply to everyone on the platform:
- You must not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Ghanaian or international law or regulation.
- You must not impersonate any person, business, or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- You must not engage in any form of harassment, abuse, intimidation, or threatening behaviour toward other users, vendors, or Connexigh staff.
- You must not use the platform to spread misinformation, false claims, or defamatory content about any person, business, or product.
- You must not attempt to manipulate ratings, reviews, or feedback through fake accounts, incentivised reviews, or any other deceptive means.
- You must not engage in off-platform transactions with users you have met through Connexigh in order to circumvent our fees or policies.
- You must not create multiple accounts to bypass suspensions, abuse promotions, or gain an unfair advantage on the platform.
3. Prohibited Items & Services
The following items and services are strictly prohibited from being listed, sold, or facilitated on the Connexigh platform. This list covers items that are illegal to sell online and offline under Ghanaian law and applicable international regulations, as well as items that Connexigh deems harmful, unethical, or inappropriate for a marketplace environment.
3.1 Illegal Goods & Controlled Substances
- Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and controlled drugs of any kind, including cannabis, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and any other substance listed under the Narcotic Drugs (Control, Enforcement and Sanctions) Law, 1990 (PNDCL 236) of Ghana.
- Prescription-only medications sold without a valid prescription or pharmaceutical licence.
- Unregistered pharmaceutical products or products not approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana.
- Chemicals and precursor substances used in the manufacture of illegal drugs.
3.2 Weapons & Dangerous Items
- Firearms, handguns, rifles, shotguns, and any other weapons requiring a licence under the Arms and Ammunition Act, 1962 (Act 118) of Ghana, unless the seller holds the requisite licence and complies with all applicable regulations.
- Ammunition, gunpowder, explosives, and detonators of any kind.
- Military-grade weapons, equipment, and accessories.
- Knives, blades, and sharp weapons intended for use as offensive weapons.
- Stun guns, tasers, and electroshock weapons.
- Biological, chemical, radiological, or nuclear materials or weapons of any kind.
3.3 Counterfeit & Stolen Goods
- Counterfeit, replica, or knock-off products that infringe on the trademarks, patents, or intellectual property rights of any brand or individual.
- Stolen goods or items obtained through fraud, theft, or any other criminal activity.
- Products with altered, removed, or falsified serial numbers, barcodes, or identifying marks.
- Pirated software, music, films, books, or any other copyrighted material distributed without authorisation.
3.4 Adult & Explicit Content
- Pornographic material, sexually explicit content, or adult entertainment products of any kind.
- Products, services, or content that sexualise or exploit minors in any way. This is a zero-tolerance category and will result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.
- Sex toys and adult novelty items.
3.5 Financial & Legal Violations
- Counterfeit currency, forged documents, fake identification cards, passports, or any government-issued documents.
- Financial instruments, investment schemes, or pyramid schemes that violate the Securities Industry Act, 2016 (Act 929) or regulations of the Bank of Ghana or Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana.
- Lottery tickets, gambling services, or betting products not licensed under Ghanaian law.
- Money laundering services or any product or service intended to conceal the proceeds of crime.
- Unlicensed financial services, foreign exchange dealings, or cryptocurrency exchanges that violate Bank of Ghana regulations.
3.6 Hazardous Materials
- Hazardous chemicals, toxic substances, or flammable materials that violate safety regulations.
- Pesticides, herbicides, and agricultural chemicals not registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ghana or the Pesticides Control and Management Act, 1996 (Act 528).
- Radioactive materials or equipment emitting harmful radiation.
- Asbestos-containing products.
3.7 Wildlife & Environmental Violations
- Protected wildlife, endangered species, or any animal or plant product prohibited under the Wildlife Conservation Regulations, 1971 (LI 685) of Ghana or the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
- Bushmeat from protected species or illegally hunted animals.
- Ivory, rhino horn, or any product derived from endangered animals.
- Illegally harvested timber or forest products.
3.8 Human Trafficking & Exploitation
- Services, products, or content that facilitate human trafficking, forced labour, sexual exploitation, or any form of modern slavery in violation of the Human Trafficking Act, 2005 (Act 694) of Ghana.
- Products or services that facilitate child labour or the exploitation of minors.
3.9 Other Prohibited Items
- Tobacco products sold to persons under 18 years of age, in violation of the Public Health Act, 2012 (Act 851).
- Alcohol products sold without the appropriate licence under Ghanaian law.
- Hacking tools, malware, spyware, ransomware, or any software designed to cause harm or gain unauthorised access to systems.
- Personal data, private information, or databases obtained without consent.
- Products or services that promote or facilitate terrorism, extremism, or political violence.
- Occult services, juju, or spiritual services making false or misleading claims.
4. Vendor-Specific Rules
In addition to the general conduct rules above, vendors on Connexigh must comply with the following:
- All product listings must be accurate, complete, and not misleading in any way.
- Vendors must hold all necessary licences, permits, and regulatory approvals required to sell their products in Ghana.
- Vendors must not list products on behalf of another seller without explicit written authorisation from that seller.
- Vendors must fulfil all confirmed orders promptly and communicate proactively with buyers about any delays.
- Vendors must not manipulate their store ratings or product reviews through any dishonest means.
- Vendors must keep their store information, contact details, and banking information accurate and up to date.
- Vendors must not use Connexigh to advertise or drive traffic to external platforms or competing marketplaces.
- Vendors must comply with all consumer protection obligations under Ghanaian law, including the Consumer Protection Agency Act, 2020.
5. Buyer-Specific Rules
In addition to the general conduct rules, buyers on Connexigh must comply with the following:
- Buyers must provide accurate shipping, contact, and payment information at checkout.
- Buyers must not submit false or fraudulent refund or dispute claims against vendors.
- Buyers must not engage in fraudulent chargebacks or payment reversals without first using Connexigh’s dispute resolution process.
- Buyers must not use purchased products for any illegal purpose.
- Buyers must treat vendors and Connexigh staff with respect in all communications.
6. Content Standards
Any content uploaded to the Connexigh platform — including product images, descriptions, store banners, and reviews — must comply with the following standards:
- Content must be accurate, honest, and not misleading.
- Content must not contain offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or defamatory material targeting any individual, group, religion, ethnicity, or gender.
- Content must not contain adult, sexually explicit, or graphic violent material.
- Content must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Content must not contain hidden links, tracking pixels, or any code designed to collect user data without consent.
- Product images must accurately represent the item being sold and must not be stolen from other sellers or stock image sites without a proper licence.
7. Platform Security
Users must not attempt to compromise the security, integrity, or availability of the Connexigh platform. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network connected to Connexigh.
- Uploading or transmitting malicious code, viruses, trojans, or any software designed to disrupt the platform.
- Conducting denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against the platform.
- Using automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract data from the platform without written consent from Connexigh.
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of the Connexigh platform or its underlying software.
- Exploiting any vulnerability or security flaw in the platform. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly through our Contact page.
8. Intellectual Property
Users must respect the intellectual property rights of Connexigh and all third parties. You must not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Connexigh platform without express written permission.
- Use Connexigh’s name, logo, or branding in any way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without prior written consent.
- List products that infringe on the patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets of any brand or individual.
- Use another seller’s product images, descriptions, or store content without their explicit permission.
9. Reporting Violations
Connexigh relies on its community to help maintain a safe and trustworthy marketplace. If you observe any activity that violates this Acceptable Use Policy, we encourage you to report it promptly.
To report a violation, please visit our Contact page and provide the following information:
- Your name and contact details.
- A description of the violation you observed.
- The URL, product listing, store name, or user involved.
- Any supporting evidence such as screenshots or order details.
All reports are treated confidentially. Connexigh will investigate every report received and take appropriate action where a violation is confirmed. We do not tolerate retaliation against users who report violations in good faith.
10. Enforcement & Consequences
Connexigh takes violations of this policy seriously. Where a breach is identified, we may take one or more of the following actions depending on the severity and frequency of the violation:
- Formal warning — a written notice sent to your registered email address identifying the breach and requiring immediate correction.
- Content removal — removal of any listing, image, review, or other content that violates this policy without prior notice.
- Temporary suspension — your account may be suspended pending investigation or while corrective action is taken.
- Permanent termination — for serious, repeated, or wilful violations, your account will be permanently terminated and you will be barred from registering a new account on the platform.
- Withholding of funds — for vendor violations, any pending payouts may be withheld until the matter is resolved.
- Legal action — where a violation constitutes a criminal offence or causes significant harm, Connexigh reserves the right to report the matter to the relevant Ghanaian law enforcement authorities and pursue civil legal action to recover any losses.
For zero-tolerance violations — including anything involving the exploitation of minors, human trafficking, or terrorism — immediate permanent termination and referral to law enforcement will occur without prior warning.
Connexigh’s determination on any enforcement matter is final unless successfully challenged through our formal dispute process.
11. Changes to This Policy
Connexigh reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time to reflect changes in law, platform operations, or community standards. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Your continued use of the platform after any changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
